Rep. Yoon Geon-young, who was the inter-Korean negotiator at the Blue House, seems to have deviated from denuclearization by formalizing the confrontation between the two Koreas to increase arms.
On the 15th, Rep. Yoon said, "Deputy Director Kim (Journey) has said that every time North Korea launches a missile it is a normal and self-defense measure. In the missile test launch, not only President Moon but also Chairman Kim Jong-un visited twice in 2019." On the 16th, MBC criticized the remarks of 'complete destruction of inter-Korean relations' by saying, "It was not basic."
After observing the SLBM launch test on the 15th, President Moon Jae-in said, "The increase in our missile power can be a sure deterrent against North Korean provocations."
In a discourse on the 15th, Vice-Chairman Kim said, "If even the president joins in slandering and betting on the other side, it will inevitably follow the behavior of a confrontational nature.
In his remarks on the same day, Rep. Yoon said, "The Moon Jae-in government is faithfully fulfilling the two pillars of peace through dialogue and a strong independent defense."
Rep. Yoon's remarks, "Deputy director Kim said that every time North Korea launches a missile, it's a normal measure of self-defense." Deputy director Kim said, "Their similar actions are just actions to support peace, and our actions are portrayed as actions that threaten peace." There is a conflict between the discourses, "I am very sorry for the illogical and conventional foolish attitude."
Since the early days of the Moon administration, Rep. Yoon has been the head of the Blue House’s Office of State Planning and Situation, and has frequently appeared in photos of Vice President Kim in both South Korea and Pyongyang.
Rep. Yoon made two visits to North Korea as a special envoy from the Blue House, and Vice-Chairman Kim appeared at the inter-Korean summit.
Rep. Yoon (Director of the Situation Office) also participated in the 4th summit consultation process at the Panmunjom meeting in December 2019 between Security Office Director Chung Eui-yong and Deputy Chief Kim.
When Vice-Chairman Kim denounced the Korean government as a "special idiot" in a January 2020 discourse, Rep. Yoon appeared on the broadcast and said, "It shows the intention to have a more daring conversation." I think that it contains demands, and in that respect, Vice President Kim Yeo-jeong's discourse did not share a kind of role."
