Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, defined state administration as ‘two wheels of administration and legislation’ and formalized the ‘state is the people’ regime by excluding ‘judiciary’ and ‘parliamentarism’.
In his remarks at the summit meeting on the 29th of last month, Representative Lee said in a pre-written manuscript aimed at public coverage, “The legislative branch and the executive branch are the two wheels of the cart that lead national affairs together in checks and balances,” and responded to his remarks by saying, “It is the will of the people” and such. “The will of the people is an order to correct state affairs,” he said.
In his remarks that day, Representative Lee said, “The nation is the people,” and “The Republic of Korea is a country with separation of powers, as you probably know because the president is also a lawyer.”
Representative Lee said to the President, “I think it would be great if you express regret for exercising the right of veto and promise to respect the National Assembly’s decisions in the future, and I respectfully request that you do so,” and said, “I respectfully request that you express regret for exercising the right to veto.” They requested a ‘suspension’ to Article 75 (Presidential Decree).
Representative Lee continued, “From the Democratic Party’s perspective, these measures, such as excessive exercise of veto power, enforcement decrees that infringe upon legislative power, and neutralization of personnel hearings, may threaten the separation of powers and rule of law, which are the two pillars of a democratic republic.” If you try to subdue the National Assembly and the opposition party, successful administration will not be easy. He said, “I hope you will respect the public will in the general election demanding a change in the tone of government administration,” and excluded ‘parliamentarianism’ and ‘people’s sovereignty.’
Representative Lee went to the Yeouido banquet hall of the Innovation Council, a member-guard unit of the party member sovereignty organization, planned to coincide with the summit meeting, and attended it.
A democratic republic is usually defined as “a political process based on separation of powers, parliamentarism, and the rule of law in the power structure,” and “sovereignty lies with the people based on popular sovereignty, and representatives elected by the people serve the rights and interests of the people.” It is defined as “a country that runs national affairs and is a people-sovereign state based on party democracy.”
Representative Lee previously violated the Democratic Party's party constitution in the nomination system for National Assembly elections, established an exclusive ruling system based on 'party member sovereignty', which is contrary to 'party democracy' and 'people's sovereignty', and at this leadership meeting, he was declared the best in the democratic republic's power system. It shows the exclusion of the value ‘parliamentarism’.
Immediately after the summit meeting, Representative Lee went straight to the Yeouido banquet hall of the 2,000-member innovation meeting, a leader in ‘party member sovereignty’, demonstrating the fascistic system of state-people domination through ‘organizational party member sovereignty’.
