Yoon Seok-yeol's 'Freedom Spreading in North Korea, Anti-State' Abolished 'Freedom is Religious Belief, Anti-Reform' Turnaround
President Yoon Seok-yeol has abandoned 'Freedom Spreading Unification in North Korea' declared in the 'August 15 Unification Doctrine' under the Biden administration and has turned to 'Religious Belief for the Victory of Liberal Democracy' under the Trump administration, changing 'Domestic Anti-State, Anti-Freedom' to 'Creating Anti-Reform'.
On the 8th, immediately after Trump's election, President Yoon told 'Newsweek', "Looking back at history, the cause of the liberal democratic camp was not to invade anyone," and "I have a firm belief that the liberal democratic camp will win, and this is similar to a religious belief."
In doing so, President Yoon completely ceded the North Korea deal to the new Trump administration.
President Yoon especially told conservative American media, "If North Korea's Kim Jong-un decides to launch a nuclear attack on South Korea, it would be a very irrational act." He completely changed his previous position of 'the end of the Kim Jong-un regime if North Korea uses nuclear weapons.' President Yoon stated in Newsweek on the 8th, right after the US presidential election, that “if North Korea launches a nuclear attack, an immediate nuclear strike will be carried out based on the ROK-US nuclear-based security alliance,” and withdrew the policy of “end of the regime in the event of nuclear use” and the Minister of National Defense’s “elimination of Kim Jong-un” and switched to “compliance with the ROK-US nuclear security alliance.”
President Yoon announced the “August 15 Unification Doctrine” on August 15, Liberation Day, as a “hard-line policy to spread freedom to the North Korean people,” and the subtitle of “challenges and responses for free unification” is a unification strategy at the North Korean level, with the core strategy being “promoting the North Korean people’s desire for free unification.”
In his Liberation Day speech, President Yoon defined “liberation as unification,” saying, “On the day when a free democratic unified nation is created in the entire Korean Peninsula where the people are the masters, complete liberation will be realized,” and declared that complete liberation will be realized when freedom is expanded to the North. In President Yoon’s ‘Unification Doctrine’, he specifically stated ‘cultivating the values and capabilities of freedom to promote free unification at the domestic level’, and made a sharp turn to ‘creating anti-state, anti-freedom’ in Newsweek.
In his Liberation Day speech, President Yoon specifically stated ‘pseudo-intellectuals’ and ‘agitators’ as “anti-freedom forces and anti-unification forces that block our path” and officially declared them as ‘targets of elimination’, saying, “Our people must arm themselves with the power of truth and fight against them.”
In his Liberation Day speech last year, President Yoon stated “anti-state forces that blindly follow communist totalitarianism, distort public opinion through manipulation and agitation, and disrupt society,” and this year’s Liberation Day specifically stated anti-state forces as ‘pseudo-intellectuals’ and ‘agitators’ and designated them as ‘anti-state public enemies.’ President Yoon pointed out ‘medical care, pension, labor, and education’ where there is no concrete blueprint and social conflict is growing due to controversy, and emphasized to Newsweek that “the four major reforms have reached the final stage where they cannot be done if not done now,” and “they are tasks that can no longer be delayed,” and excluded North Korea’s nuclear program and the spread of freedom. President Yoon continued by saying about the ‘four major reforms’ that “many regimes have been unable to do them because they feared that they would be disadvantaged in the election and that there was a high possibility of losing votes,” and “even if they cannot complete them during their term, they can create a solid framework so that the next regime can finish them. Whether their approval ratings drop or the midterm elections do not produce good results, this problem must be resolved to some extent during my term. It is a situation where they cannot step down without reforming and improving many systems,” and revealed the ‘strategy of strengthening domestic enemy creation’ as the core of their power. The article titled “Home Truths” in the cover of the conservative weekly news magazine Newsweek, which appeared in a surprise interview, with the subtitle “President Yoon’s Biggest Problem Is Not North Korea,” targets the Trump regime and divides it into “North Korea is Trump territory,” and President Yoon is declaring “strengthening the domestic hard-line conservative system.”
The editor-in-chief of Newsweek stated that the subtitle “Not North Korea’s Nuclear Weapons” was chosen because it “contains President Yoon’s concerns about having to undertake the four major reforms (medical, pension, labor, and education), opposition from the opposition party, and the gravity of domestic issues.”
President Yoon’s Liberation Day speech stated, “In 1919, our people began efforts to establish a free democratic nation on the Korean Peninsula where the people are the masters,” and “Although we were liberated by the defeat of Japan in 1945, our liberation cannot but be incomplete as long as the division system continues. “The freedom we enjoy must be expanded to the North,” he said, referring to the strategy of “provoking civil war” in North Korea by “spreading the ideology of freedom.”
At the beginning of his Liberation Day speech on August 15, President Yoon stated, “Through the March 1st Movement in 1919, we confirmed the unanimous desire to create a free country where the people are the masters. We established the Shanghai Provisional Government with this desire in mind, and the struggle for freedom continued even after liberation in 1945. In 1948, we established the Republic of Korea government in this land by enacting the liberal democratic constitution.” Regarding “1945 to 1948,” he formalized the ideology of “spreading freedom” as the identity of Korea by referring to the “period of the struggle for freedom” and the “absence of the Korean state.” The Biden Democratic Party has formalized a ‘dialogue-first diplomatic strategy toward North Korea’, the Yoon Seok-yeol regime has attempted to break the ‘diplomacy-first strategy’ by ‘eliminating the North Korean regime’, and the Trump regime has cooperated with the Moon Jae-in regime in the ‘North Korea capital inflow through secret North Korea-US summit deals’ strategy that was led by the CIA and made possible by pro-Trump Singapore private equity funds.
On September 20, 2022, President Yoon violated the UN Charter’s “prohibition on recommendations to member states” and the prohibition on mobilization outside of international organizations by “recommending the spread of freedom” to member states at the UN General Assembly.
President Yoon recommended “prohibition on recommendations to member states” by saying, “When the freedom of any citizen or country in the world is threatened, the international community must unite to protect that freedom,” and “The Republic of Korea will fulfill its responsibility together with the UN to protect and expand the freedom of the citizens of the world and to achieve peace and prosperity.”
The UN Charter states in Article 7 of Chapter 1, Purpose that “nothing in the Charter authorizes the United Nations to interfere in matters which are essentially within the domestic jurisdiction of any state, or to require the Member States to submit such matters to resolution under the present Charter,” and thus “prohibition on recommendations to member states” is the founding principle.
