Lee Jae-myung uses National Assembly agenda voting for a coup d'état based on party member sovereignty, destroying parliamentary principles

Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, officially confirmed that the party members strategically used the National Assembly agenda voting for a coup d'état to eliminate the opposition party through party member sovereignty.
Lee said that he "demanded that it be rejected" in order to eliminate "groups (within the Democratic Party) that are conducting black market transactions with the opposing party's violent groups" in the National Assembly arrest motion vote, and that "suspected members of the passing party were eliminated through party member opinion polls and mutual evaluations of members," confirming the coup d'état based on party member sovereignty on the 5th.

Using the National Assembly agenda vote to eliminate the opposition in the party's factional fight and party members becoming the rulers in 'identifying the eliminated' through parliamentary votes outside the party rules is a destruction of parliamentaryism and corresponds to a fascist system.

Lee said, "I asked that it be rejected, even at the risk of increasing the possibility of arrest." Because the scale of the vote and who voted for it will be revealed,” he said, adding, “It just so happened that at that time (the arrest warrant approval incident), the so-called Democratic Party member evaluation was conducted, and those suspected of being part of the approval group received significant deductions in party member opinion polls, local public opinion polls, and mutual evaluations among members, which lowered their evaluations significantly,” confirming the application of the party’s strategy of eliminating opposition through voting on National Assembly agenda items in the method of ‘finding out’ opposition parties.

Lim Hyeok-baek, the Democratic Party’s public office chairman, stated in March of last year that the party member sovereignty-based nomination would be based on ‘party discipline,’ but Representative Lee had previously officially confirmed that the ‘rejection appeal’ regarding the National Assembly agenda vote was a ‘strategy for finding opposition parties,’ which would degrade the National Assembly to a lower level of party discipline.

Lim, the chairman of the public office, said that during the nomination selection process, 40 people agreed to arrest Lee Jae-myung due to “excessive democracy” and that the strategy of “eliminating opponents in the process of adopting the party line” would revive the “fascist system” of operating the system of all party members.

Chairman Lim explained to the Kyunghyang Shinmun that the ruling of “unique rejection of Park Yong-jin’s retrial” was “applied to the party rules objection,” but the party rules clearly state that it is “authority of the retrial committee,” which constitutes a violation of the party rules and a false explanation.

Chairman Lim said of the Democratic Party in particular, “Are there not 40 people who voted in favor of the motion to arrest and send the party leader to prison? There is such a thing as discipline in a political party.

The problem is that the National Assembly members are acting as they please,” and changed to a fiscist party system based on the nomination criteria that prioritizes “discipline” over the party line. In an interview with the YouTube channel “Maebul Show” released that day, the representative stated that the “arrest motion approval incident” in which a large number of defections occurred within the party was “coincidental by the prosecution and some within the party,” and that the arrest motion approval incident was created through a secret deal with the prosecution in order to expel him from the party.

He also stated that the “black market deal with a violent group” was revealed and that this was calculated from the beginning. Representative Lee said, “(The Democratic Party members who voted for the approval) should be held accountable,” and “If groups that use the Democratic Party as a tool for personal desires and engage in black market deals with opposing parties or violent groups survive, what will become of the party?”

He continued, “In the end, it was all revealed in the general election and sorted out,” and “It just so happened that the so-called Democratic Party member evaluation was conducted at that time (the arrest motion approval incident), and those suspected of being part of the approval faction received significant deductions in party member opinion polls, local public opinion polls, and mutual evaluations between members, which lowered their evaluations significantly.”

With this statement on this day, the representative distorted the behavior of “seeking out and eliminating candidates from the nomination list” into “what was revealed in the general election.”

On March 16th of last year, the representative officially announced an “arbitrary decision,” saying, “Even if the winner’s election is invalidated due to a violation of the election law, the runner-up will not be elected.”

Regarding the “elimination of the runner-up” (due to the resignation of the first-place candidate), the representative stated to Rep. Park Yong-jin that the party’s primary election is the same as the result of an election by the people’s right to vote, and said, “Standing Co-Chairman Lee Hae-chan advised that there are only winners and losers in an election, and there is no second-place candidate, so I ruled that out,” announcing that the party would abolish party democracy and apply the party’s sovereignty principle to the primary election.

The “application of the election law to the nominee,” which the representative cooperated with former representative Lee Hae-chan, follows the provisions of the election law, and is completely different from the “elimination of the primary winner, which is not included in the regulations” in the Democratic Party’s platform.

The primary election of a political party candidate is aimed at expanding support in the public election after the competition within the party, so the runner-up meets the criteria of party democracy, and the party's ruling system is shown by the 'dog daughters (strong supporters' guard)' who led the 'watermelon (opposition faction) search' in the candidate .

In party democracy, if a case not included in the 'primary election rules' occurs, 'guarantee of citizen participation in the nomination process' is applied according to the party platform.

In April of last year, Representative Lee replaced the 'party member sovereignty' with the 'people's sovereignty' and switched to a new system where 140 people in the 'Innovation Conference', a guard organization, nominate 47 candidates and 13 members advance to the National Assembly, monopolizing the replenishment.

This representative established a 'lawyer political system' by sending eight trial lawyers from the Seongnam mayor case to the National Assembly through nominations and granting them the right to nominate candidates with 'successful fees during trials'.
